Assisting Hands Home Care is seeking experienced caregivers CNAs who are confident providing hands-on care for clients who require maximum assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, and transfers.

This opportunity is ideal for caregivers with strong hands-on experience who are comfortable supporting clients with complex daily care needs, limited mobility, and a high level of physical assistance. We are looking for dependable and professional caregivers who understand the importance of safety, patience, dignity, and compassionate one-on-one care.

Position Responsibilities

Depending on the client's individual care plan, responsibilities may include:

Providing hands-on assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene.
Supporting safe mobility, repositioning, and transfers, including experience with Hoyer lifts or other transfer equipment when applicable.
Assisting with incontinence care, brief changes, and skin integrity observation.
Helping with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and hydration as needed.
Providing medication reminders.
Maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment through light housekeeping.
Offering companionship and emotional support while preserving each client's dignity and independence.
Monitoring and reporting changes in the client's condition, behavior, or overall well-being to the office team.

Qualifications

At least 1–2 years of hands-on caregiving experience preferred, particularly with clients requiring maximum assistance.
Reliable transportation with Valid driver's license and current car insurance.
Experience with personal care, incontinence care, repositioning, and mobility assistance.
Ability to safely perform the physical duties required for assigned cases, with appropriate equipment and assistance.
Strong communication skills and the ability to follow care plans and report concerns promptly.

This position serves Schaumburg and the surrounding Northwest Suburbs, including Park Ridge, Palatine, Hoffman Estates, Rolling Meadows, Elk Grove Village, and Des Plaines.

This is NOT a Chicago-based position.

Applicants must have reliable transportation and be able to consistently commute to Schaumburg and nearby suburbs for scheduled shifts. Please confirm that the commute is reasonable for you before applying.
